Women and Peacemaking ... A
Journey of Grace
Tara Barthel

Guest Speaker:  Tara Barthel

Tara Klena Barthel (www.TaraBarthel.com) formerly worked as an attorney and director at Peacemaker Ministries.  Currently, Tara serves her family as a homemaker while regularly mediating and teaching on biblical peacemaking.  Tara is the co-author of Peacemaking Women - Biblical Hope for Resolving Conflict.

If you were asked to describe your life, would words like peaceful and contented come readily to mind?  Our lives are often filled with suffering, disappointments, broken relationships, fears, and depression.  What hope is there for us to have peace?  Join us as together we consider some of the practical, biblical ways the gospel of Jesus Christ brings real peace for real women.

Comments from
Past Speaking Events
"We do this retreat every single year and this is the first year that 100% of the evaluation sheets listed "the messages" as the most valuable or helpful thing."

"Whenever I have heard Tara speak, she points me to Jesus and makes me long to grow in my intimacy with the Lord."

"Honestly, I had "had it" with the women in our church.  But after this weekend, my eyes were really opened to my own sin and to God's plan for the church.  I have a renewed sense of vision and purpose for my role and the support I need to give to our pastor and elders."

"God is using Tara as a tool to penetrate the hearts of women and to bring lasting peace to marriages, families and friendships."

"I felt refreshed in the Gospel, wholly and truly loved by God, and totally challenged by my responsibility to love those around me even through conflict."

Are you skeptical of women's studies?  Me too!

Do you ever feel like you can't quite be good enough?

We give grace to the extent we experience grace ourselves.

What do you really believe?  Look at how you live.

Why do we keep having these fights?!

The progression of an idol:  when desires turn into demands.
